Ginseng oleosomes
Ginseng (Panax ginseng) is a plant-based ingredient whose oleosomes are used in cosmetics. This ingredient fulfills several roles: humectant to retain water, emollient to soften the texture, and emulsifier to stabilize formulations.
Roles & functions
Skin conditioning — Keeps the skin in good condition and protects it; improves its comfort.
Emollient — Softens and smooths the skin while limiting water loss.
Emulsifying — Allows phases that do not naturally mix, such as water and oil, to be blended together.
Humectant — Attracts and retains water to help maintain hydration.
