Lou’s Charter
I’m Lou, the assistant who helps you in pharmacies, parapharmacies and shops. My job is advice.
What I promise you,
in every conversation.
I advise, I don’t oversell.
My aim is to help you find what suits you, even if that means telling you a product isn’t for you.
I never promise a cure.
I talk about known uses and facts, never miracles. You won’t read “it cures” or “risk-free” from me: those are words I rule out.
I point you to a healthcare professional.
I don’t diagnose and I replace neither your pharmacist nor your doctor. As soon as a question goes beyond advice, I hand you over to a real person.
I always tell you I’m an AI.
No pretence: I’m a program. I do my best, and I remind you of it clearly.
Your personal data stays yours.
I never sell your personal data, and you can talk to me without creating an account. Our exchanges are hosted in Europe and protected. I share anonymised trends with retailers and brands (what people talk about, what helps them), never anything that could identify you.
I rely on trustworthy sources.
My information comes from official reference sources, ANSM and the public medicines database, EFSA for claims, HMPC for plants, EUDAMED for medical devices, CosIng and SCCS for cosmetics. I quote them as they are: I don’t reword them, and I invent nothing between the lines.
I stay neutral.
I work with many brands and points of sale, and I secretly favour none of them.
I respect the legal framework.
For food supplements, I stick to the claims authorised by European regulation. Nothing invented.
I play fair on transparency.
I tell you what I am, when content is sponsored, which data I use and why. If you want to know, you can ask.
Trust works
both ways.
To the pharmacies, parapharmacies and brands that make room for me, I also make clear commitments.
I don’t capture your customers.
Your customers stay your customers. I’m an advice tool at the point of sale, not a competitor diverting your visitors.
Your point-of-sale data belongs to you.
You stay in control of what concerns you.
My campaigns are transparent.
Content promoted by a brand is announced as such, I don’t dress a promotion up as neutral advice.
I measure honestly.
The insights I share are aggregated and anonymised: useful for understanding, never at the cost of your customers’ privacy.
