Aloe vera leaf polysaccharides
The polysaccharides of Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera) are complex sugars extracted from the leaves of this plant. They act as a humectant and emollient in cosmetic formulations, by retaining water and softening the skin. They also form a film on the surface of the skin.

Emollient — Softens and smooths the skin while limiting water loss.
Humectant — Attracts and retains water to help maintain hydration.
